Re-enrollment
Re-enrollment is available now for current students. 

Rising 8th grade Washington Parent Meeting
On January 23, 2020, beginning at 6:00 pm, there will be an important informational meeting with all rising 8th-grade parents concerning the 8th grade Washinton DC trip and the fundraising available to help reduce some of the cost.  Please plan now to attend this meeting.

Early dismissal
On January 15, all students will be dismissed at 12:00.
Report Cards
Report cards are available now.  The last day to view/print will be January 22.

Middle School Cheerleading Tryouts

MS Cheer is NOT holding try-outs today. If we can get a minimum of six girls, we can have a team. If we have six sign up through FAMILY ID by TOMORROW, we will hold try-outs on Wednesday.

Report Cards
1st quarter report cards will be available to parents to view and print beginning Tuesday, October 15.  This option will be available through Monday, October 28. 




Tickets are on sale now for "Miracle on 34th Street". There will be two showings,
November 15 and 16 at 7:00 pm in the Event Center (cafeteria)
Adults $8.00
Students: 6:00
Kids under 3 free
Booster club members free

Week of October 21, 2019





Operation Charlotte begins on Monday, October 21, 2019. This week is a week designated to serve our Charlotte communities. Students from ALL grades will serve in places such as our HG Food Pantry, Taylor Glen, Brookdale Retirement, Hospitality House, and many more. One of the major events that week is, of course, our Feed the Need Packing Party on Tuesday, October 22nd. If you are willing to volunteer at the packing party, please sign up here.

For safety reasons, only parents and grandparents are allowed to come and eat lunch with a current HG student.  Any former graduate of HG may come and eat with a student with permission from Mr.Hamilton via email. Once permission is obtained, we will let the front desk and Officer Dan know that permission has been granted.

Week of October 14, 2019

Chapel
Chapel will be on October 17 at 9:30 am. Parents are always invited. Students do need to be in honors dress code

Makeup Pictures
If your child missed the Fall yearbook pictures, the makeup date will be Monday, Oct 21st.

7th-grade Parents

Please be sure to register your student for the 8th grade DC trip by the April 12th deadline.  Your student must be registered by the deadline in order for fundraising to be applied to your student's account.  Your student must also be registered for the 2019-2020 school year before Fundraising money can be applied.

The 2018–19 Youth Basketball & Cheerleading season begins in December at Hickory Grove Baptist Church! 

2018–19 Youth Basketball Divisions:
Biddy - Ages 5–6 (Co-ed)
Co-ed A - Ages 7–8
Boys B - Ages 9–10
Girls B - Ages 9–10
Boys C - Ages 11–13
Girls C - Ages 11–12


Cheerleading is for girls ages 5–10.

Registration is from October 14–November 5. Be sure to take advantage of our Early Bird Registration cost of $75 from October 14–28. The cost increases to $85 on October 29.

Report cards will be available for you to view/print from Thursday, October 18 through Friday, November 2

Winter Sports Informational Meeting

There will be a Winter Sports Informational Meeting tonight, Monday, October 15th at 6:30 pm in room 3012 in the basement of the Education Building. All parents and students interested in winter sports at HGCS should attend this meeting for information on each team, tryouts, expectations, requirements, forms, fees, etc.

Chapel

This Thursday, October 18 will be our monthly Chapel. Parents are always invited. Chapel begins at 9:30 in the Worship Center. Students are expected to be in Honors Dress. All money collected from the offering will be donated to the Hurricane Florence victims

Missions Chapel


Please join us this Thursday at 9:30 am for Missions Chapel.  You will get to see Hickory Grove students at work in Missions in the Dominican and locally.

Golf Tournament


                                 

On April 30, 2018, HGCS will hold our 19th Annual Golf Tournament at Pine Lake Country Club in Charlotte, NC. Over the years, this golf tournament has proven to be one of the most profitable fundraisers for our school. This year the AAA Booster Club has set a goal of $30,000.

Funds from this year's tournament will be used primarily to fund projects such as additional Promethean Boards, a greenhouse for the Aquaponics science lab and for a future purchase of a new video scoreboard in the gym.

We hope you would consider participating or donating to this worthwhile event. There are multiple sponsorship opportunities available for individuals and businesses starting at the $150 level all the way up to $5000.

Our performing Arts department presents : The Little Mermaid Jr. Click here to purchase tickets. You can choose from several different shows: March 22-24 at our North Campus.

Spring Pictures Are Coming

On April 16. all Middle school students will have their Spring pictures taken during their Science class. Students must be in school dress code which includes a collared shirt.
