Hickory Grove Christian School and Church will be closed November 10 in honor of Veteran's Day.  Thank you to those who are serving or have served.  




HOSA Fall Blood Drive
 The Hickory Grove Christian School HOSA club is sponsoring their Annual Fall Blood drive on November 20 from 11:00-3:30 in rooms 1111/1112 near the Welcome Center.  Please consider saving a life by donating your blood. You may contact Nurse Shelton at larashelton@hgchristian.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS, or visit redcrossblood.org and enter code: hickorygrovechristianschool. You can also complete your "pre-donation assessment" ahead of time by visiting RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass and completing your health history questions.


 Message from Admissions
Current HGCS Parents, 
The 2018-2019 Re-enrollment instructions for current students will be added to the Renweb announcement page on November 1 and will run through January 31, 2018.  If you have any questions, regarding re-enrollment, please contact the admissions office at 704-531-3589.

Updating Information
Has your phone number, address, or email changed?  If yes, please email Tanya McCorkle at tanyamccorkle@hgchristian.org and update your information. It is important that we have correct contact information on file.

Grandparents/Christmas Chapel
Mark your calendars now for Grandparents/Christmas Chapel on Dec 7 at 8:00 am in the Worship center.  All grandparents/parents are invited.

Bless a child for Christmas  Toys for Tots collection dates will be Nov 1 thru Nov 30.
Middle collection box: outside of Mr. Hamilton’s Office
HighSchool collection box:  High School office.
Bring a new, unwrapped toy
Thank you for thinking of a child who won’t have anything for Christmas but because of your donation, a child will be Blessed and the Lord through you will be glorified.

  • November 10  Veterans Day  NO SCHOOL  Thank you to all who have served or serving now.
  • November 19  Last day to order Winter Spirit Wear
  • November 20  HG Fall HOSA blood drive: 11:30-3:30 rooms 1111/1112 and 1113/1114.
  • November 21  All schools dismissed at 11:30 am
  • November 22  Teacher Workday / NO SCHOOL
  • November 23-24  Happy Thanksgiving
  • November 30 Toys for Tots Collection ends
  • December 7 Grandparents/Christmas Chapel 8:00 am Worship Center. Grandparents are invited for Senior Adult Brunch at 9:30 am in the Family Life Center. Cost is $6 
  • December 15  1/2 day dismissal / 2nd Quarter ends
  • December 18-29  Christmas Break /  NO SCHOOL

Toys for Tots Drive


We are having a Toys for Tots toy drive beginning Monday, Nov 7 through Dec 2.  Please help make a child's Christmas brighter by bringing in a new, unwrapped toy.  The collection box is in the Middle School hall by the "I forgot table".

Upcoming Dates:

  • November 17        Chapel 9:30 am (Honors Dress required)
  • November 21        HG Christian School Blood drive 11:00 am
  • November 22        Cafeteria closed.  A pizza lunch will be offered, or students can pack a lunch that does not require a microwave.
  • November 23        TWD/NO SCHOOL
  • November 24-25   Happy Thanksgiving

Please note

Due to limited space for the Elementary Thanksgiving banquet, Middle School students will not be allowed to attend with elementary siblings.
