Rising 8th grade Washington Parent Meeting
On January 23, 2020, beginning at 6:00 pm, there will be an important informational meeting with all rising 8th-grade parents concerning the 8th grade Washinton DC trip and the fundraising available to help reduce some of the cost.  Please plan now to attend this meeting.

Senior Mission Trip
Today, 44 seniors and 12 chaperones left for either the Dominican or Quito.  Please keep them in your prayers as they head out to do God's work and minister to the people of these countries.

Family Ski Adventure
February 5 is the last day to pay if you would like to take your family on a day ski trip.  This trip is open to all Hickory Grove families and students.

Thank you to everyone for the donations you provided for the Dominican/Ecuador Senior Mission Trip.  61 students and chaperones left this morning for the DR and 26 students and chaperones are headed to Ecuador.

This workshop will help our parents teach their children how to lead balanced digital lives by focusing on the connection between brain development and media use with the goal of reconnecting families in today’s digital world. Carpool Request
1. We need help getting Kendall home from school. We live in GlenGrove, the Concord/Harrisonburg area. This is the Roberta Road, Pitts School Road area. We are happy to compensate for gas money. Folks are welcome to call me at 704.701.4546 if that is easier. Thank you for your help!  (Only need for the month of January)

2. My family is also in need of a driver to take my children home from school in the afternoons. I will pay weekly. There are 2 children, grades 7 and 9. We live only 2 miles from the school, headed west on Harris Blvd.  They have the normal school baggage, plus a large band instrument. Please email Monica at themsubers@hotmail.com. Thank you.

Off Season Workouts

Off-season workouts with Coach Pondo for ALL male athletes in 6th-12th grades not currently playing a sport will begin after Christmas break on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. More information can be found on the Athletic Announcements blog. Please contact Coach Pondo with any questions.

Dominican Republic Mission Trip Donations

Our Senior Class is headed to the Dominican for our annual Mission Trip. The dates of the trip are January 8-12, 2018. This trip would not be possible without the donations from our Hickory Grove families. Below is a list of items we are asking for students to donate. Collection dates will be Jan 3- Jan 5.

Monetary donations are also being taken to purchase food bags once the students arrive in the Dominican. Students assemble and distribute the food bags to families in the villages and communities while they are there ministering to the local people. A small gift of $15.00 will feed a family of four for one month.

Dominican Republic Mission Trip Donations

Chick Fil A fundraiser for Precious Cargo

Please stop by Chick Fil-A on Albemarle Road this Thursday, December 14, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm. 20 % of proceeds will go towards Precious Cargo ministry.
