End of Grade Testing

All Middle School students will be administered the Iowa Assessment from May 14-17, 2019. The test will begin promptly at 9:15.  Please make sure your child is present for the test.

8th grade "Moving to High School" Celebration

Please join us on May 23 as we celebrate the 8th grader's completion of Middle School requirements as they prepare to "move on" to High School. All middle school students will attend this Chapel. As always, parents are invited. PLEASE NOTE: This will be the only Chapel in May. The school calendar shows Chapel on May 2.  Middle school will not attend that Chapel.

Week of April 22, 2019


Iowa Testing

Spring Guidance Parent Night
On Tuesday, April 9th at 6:00pm we are holding our Spring Guidance Night!
JROTC @ HG: If you think your student would be interested in learning about the possibility of JROTC, please join us for an information session on this program.  We are exploring bringing the JROTC for Christian Schools Program to our high school for grades 9 - 12. JROTC for Christian Schools is a great program.  It uses the curriculum recommended by the Dept. of Defense but is taught from a biblical perspective and is not government-funded. The program promotes self-motivation, responsibility, courage, wellness, leadership, integrity, loyalty, goal-setting and much more.  Depending on having enough interest and securing the right teacher, this program could be a reality for our students as early as 2019-2020!

7th-grade Parents

Please be sure to register your student for the 8th grade DC trip by the April 12th deadline.  Your student must be registered by the deadline in order for fundraising to be applied to your student's account. Your student must also be registered for the 2019-2020 school year before fundraising money can be applied.

Week of April 1, 2019

Summer Camp registration is now open. Click here to register. Camps are open to all HGCS students and HGBC members.

 Spring Pictures are Coming
Lifetouch will visit Hickory Grove to take Spring pictures on Thursday, April 4.  Pictures will be taken during Science class.  If you would like to order pictures, please complete the order form and send in with your child on picture day.  Students do need to be in the school dress code.

 Report Cards
Report Cards are now available to view. The last day to view and print will be April 5.

7th-grade Parents

Please be sure to register your student for the 8th grade DC trip by the April 12th deadline.  Your student must be registered by the deadline in order for fundraising to be applied to your student's account. Your student must also be registered for the 2019-2020 school year before fundraising money can be applied.
