Announcements for the Week of September 26, 2016

HOMECOMING/SPIRIT WEEK:
Tuesday- Class color day (6th grade RED) (7th grade PINK) (8th grade BLACK)
Wednesday- America Day
Thursday- Team Day (favorite Athletic team)
Friday-Blue/Gold day
Athletic shorts/pants may be worn.  No yoga pants or leggings.

Band Students:
 The Band Shirt order form is now available. Orders need to be placed by Monday, October 10th. Email taylorcaton@hgchristian.org with questions.

Junior National Honor Society:
If your child received an application for the Junior National Honor Society, the application is due no later than Friday, September 30th, 2:30 pm.  (Should be turned in the Homeroom teacher).

 7th Grade Upcoming Field Trip:

The 7th graders will be going on a field trip to the Renaissance Festival on October 19th.  The buses will leave promptly at 8:00 am and will be return by 2:30.  The cost is $11.50 and must be paid by October 7th.  You may pay on Brushfire using the following link:

8th grade parents

Please remember to send in the items you volunteered to bring for the Washington trip.  Your child may turn in to their homeroom teacher.

Winter Sports Informational Meeting
An informational meeting for all students and parents interested in winter sports (basketball, cheerleading, swimming) at Hickory Grove Christian School will be held on Monday, October 17 in Room 3012 at 6:30 (Education Center Basement). The meeting will cover tryouts, required paperwork, policies, expectations, and specific team information.

Please note, if you need to contact the Middle Office, the phone number is 704-531-4077.

Absences/Tardies 

Please notify the office by email (michelewilson@hgchristian.org) or phone (704-531-4077) by 9 am concerning any absences or tardies.

 "I forgot table"

If your child forgot something, there is a table sitting outside of the old Middle School office that you may place the item on for your child to pick up during class changes.  Unless it is a medical situation, we will not interrupt class time to give a child something they forgot. There is paper on the table for you to write their name on the item.

Announcements for the Week of September 5, 2016

Safety & Security

Please do not drop off students at the Family Life Center (FLC) entrance. Students are to be dropped off either at Guest Services entrance or at the High School entrance (steps) in the back parking lot.

Box Top Collection

It’s time to turn in your summer Box Top collections. As a reminder, at the beginning of summer we asked you to save your Box Tops. We will award a pizza lunch to the Elementary and Middle school class that collects the most Box Tops. Please submit labels in a Ziploc bag with your child’s name, grade, and homeroom teacher. It would be helpful if you could put them in bags of 50 Box tops. The Box Tops are due by
